The purpose of this Privacy Notice is to set out the practices of Cirrus Logic, Inc., and the Cirrus Logic group of companies https://www.cirrus.com/company/contacts (“Cirrus Logic” or “we/us”), in relation to personal data that we may gather and use through the Circuit mobile application (the “Circuit App”). Please see the Unily Privacy Hub and Privacy Notice in relation to personal data that they, as provider of the Circuit App, may collect from you.
This Privacy Notice sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you through your use of the Circuit App will be processed by us, including what type of information is gathered and tracked, how the information is used, and with whom the information may be shared. It should be read in conjunction with the Employee Privacy Notice applicable in the country where your employer is based, the terms of which also apply to our processing of your information using the Circuit App. All information which we gather is controlled by Cirrus Logic. Please read the following carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
Through your use of the Circuit App, we may have access to certain personal data, including but not limited to identifiers, geolocation, and internet or network activity (e.g. name and email address, IP address, location and technical information about the devices you use the Circuit App on, including device model and manufacturer and unique device identifiers, browser and operating system, and related usage data in connection with the Circuit App.)
We will only use such personal data we collect for the purposes of providing the Circuit App to you, contacting you in relation to the Circuit App and to obtain information about the user engagement and functionality of the Circuit App. Your personal data is collected and processed on the legal basis that it is in our legitimate interests to do so, provided always that in exercising those interests we do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.
In order to provide the Circuit App to you, we may provide your personal data to Cirrus Logic group companies, and third-party service providers in connection with that purpose (including Unily as provider of the Circuit App and other providers, for example to track users’ activity and collect information from users), including those based outside the United Kingdom (UK) and European Economic Area (EEA), or outside the country where you are located. All third-party service providers and Cirrus Logic group companies are required to take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data in line with our policies.
Where Cirrus Logic transfers your personal data outside the UK/EEA, or outside the country where you are located, we comply with all applicable data protection laws. Transfers may be subject to special contract terms, or other locally applicable measures, to ensure the adequate protection of the data being transferred.
We will only keep your personal data for as long as the data is needed by us to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including providing the Circuit App to you and for the purposes of satisfying any legal requirements. Audit logs will be retained in accordance with our usual practices (generally 180 days or less).
For employees and other workers engaged by a Cirrus Logic UK entity (including a US Branch of the same) you have the following rights in respect of your personal data:
the right to information and access to personal data;
the right to request correction of the personal information we hold about you;
the right to erasure of your personal information;
the right to restriction of processing of your personal information;
the right to request we transfer your personal information to another party;
the right to object to processing of your personal information; and
the right to transparency.
For employees and other workers engaged by a Cirrus Logic entity in the State of California, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
the right to access your personal data
the right to request correction of your personal data
the right to erasure of your personal data
the right to portability of your personal data
For employees and other workers engaged by other Cirrus Logic entities or in other jurisdictions, you may have other rights in respect of your personal data, as outlined in the Employee Privacy Notice applicable in the country where those Cirrus Logic entities are based. If you are concerned that we have not complied with your legal rights, you may contact your local data protection supervisory authority or regulator.
