(Nasdaq: CRUS), announced today that it has shipped more than 200 million audio digital-to-analog converters (DACs) since 1998, reinforcing the company’s position as the industry leader in audio IC solutions for consumer, professional, automotive and portable markets.

Cirrus audio DACs are an integral part of audio products ranging in function from recording to playback enjoyment, and have been designed into major consumer products including the Sony PlayStation® game console, DIRECTV® set-top boxes and a wide variety of DVD players, including RCA, Apex, Philips and Sony.

The CS43xx family of audio DACs includes a broad portfolio of stereo and multichannel products that deliver a high-fidelity sound experience and range in performance from CD-quality to flagship professional audio.
