AUSTIN, Texas -- April 23, 2002 -- Cirrus Logic (Nasdaq: CRUS) today announced that it has shipped more than one million video decoder ICs in less than six months’ time, due to strong worldwide design win activity and the successful integration of recent corporate acquisitions.

Cirrus is building on its leadership in audio ICs and A/V receivers with a strong presence in the DVD processor market, and this milestone contributes to its growing presence in the overall digital entertainment electronics markets. Actual shipments of video decoder ICs totaled 1.2 million over the six-month period.
