Installation Instructions

1. Ensure that your board is listed in the Supported Boards table below.
2. Download and install the latest FlexGUI release package (Version 7.0.13).
3. Connect the board to an available COM or USB port on your PC. Note that the firmware must be revision 0.500 or greater for USB operation. If the firmware revision of your target device is less than 0.500, or you are unsure of the firmware revision, then connect the board to an available COM port before launching FlexGUI. The FlexGUI application now supports automatic firmware updates over USB and RS-232. No need to download a separate utility.
4. Apply power to the board.
5. Launch the software.
6. If an older, updateable version of firmware is detected on the connected board, FlexGUI will prompt the user with the option of updating the firmware to the latest version.
7. If the firmware update procedure is cancelled, the user will be prompted each time FlexGUI launches until the update is completed.
