The CS7410 is a comprehensive silicon solution with powerful processing capabilities and advanced features for the music and technology enthusiast. The CS7410 is a total solution that includes CD-based MP3 and WMA playback. In addition to the extensive feature set for the CD decoder market, the CS7410 has low power requirements and a small package size, which make it a standard-setting IC solution for portable electronics. Typical applications for the CS7410 include portable CD-based MP3/WMA players and boomboxes. The CS7410 is versatile enough to support both high-end and low-end solutions. Superior on-chip integration allows the CS7410 to provide seamless processing performance while significantly reducing manufacturing cost. This highly integrated IC includes a 32-bit MIPS-based processor, a 16-bit DSP, 80 KB of internal SRAM, and 256 KB of internal ROM. In addition to the internal memory, interfaces to external memory for shock protection and custom program storage are available for high-end solutions. A direct CD serial interface to the CD DSP eliminates the need for a microcontroller, further reducing system cost. |
