The PA89 is an ultra high 1,200 V power operational amplifier designed for output currents up to 75 mA to target high voltage applications including piezoelectric positioning, instrumentation, and electrostatic deflection. Output voltages can swing over 1,000 Vp-p.
High accuracy for this MOSFET power amplifier is achieved with a cascode input circuit configuration and 120dB open loop gain. All internal biasing is referenced to a bootstrapped zener-MOSFET current source, giving the PA89 a wide supply range and excellent supply rejection. External compensation provides user flexibility by allowing customers to tailor slew rate and bandwidth performance.
The PA89A is the A grade version to provide enhanced performance in the areas of offset voltage, bias current and offset current. The PA89 series is a hybrid product design housed in a hermetically sealed and electrically isolated 12-pin MO-127 metal PowerDIP package. The PA89 also is 100% gross leak tested to military standards for long term reliability. For continuous operation under load, a heatsink of proper rating is recommended.
