The PA75 is a single chip, dual power operational amplifier capable of 2.5 A of continuous output current on 5 V to 40 V single supplies. The IC design of the PA75 utilizes a dual power amplifier on a single monolithic die. Side B of the chip is configured as a unity gain buffer to increase the current capability of the side A “master”. Two PA75 amplifiers can be used to provide a cost-effective solution for applications where multiple amplifiers are required or a bridge configuration is needed. Very low harmonic distortion of .02% THD and low IQ makes the PA75 a good solution for power audio applications as well.
The PA75 is available in three standard package designs. The PA75CC is a surface mount version that utilizes the industry-standard, non-hermetic plastic 7-pin DDPAK. The PA75CD and PA75CX are thru-hole versions that utilize the industry-standard, non-hermetic plastic 7-pin TO-220 package. The PA75CX offers a staggered lead formation with standard 100 mil spacing. This lead option allows for ease of PC board layout.
