CS4365/85

114 dB, 24-bit, 192 kHz, 6- and 8-Channel D/A Converters with DSD Support, Low-Latency Digital Filtering and TDM Interface

The CS4365/85 are pin-compatible 6- and 8+-channel digital/analog converter (DAC) systems. They feature digital de-emphasis, half-DB step-size volume control, ATAPI channel-mixing, and selectable fast and slow digital interpolation filters. The systems then use an oversampled, multibit Delta-Sigma modulator which includes mismatch shaping technology that eliminates distortion due to capacitor mismatch. Following this stage is a multi-element switched capacitor stage and low-pass filter with differential analog outputs.

The DACs feature a proprietary DSD processor which allows for volume control and a 50 kHz on-chip filtering with an intermediate decimation stage. It also offers an optional path for direct DSD conversion by directly using the multi-element switched capacitor array.

The CS4365/85 are available in a 48-pin LQFP package in both commercial (-40 degrees to +85 degrees C) and automotive grades (-40 degrees to +105 degrees C). The CDB4365/85 Customer Demonstration Boards are also available for evaluation.

The ICs accept PCM data at sample rates from 4 kHz to 216 kHz, DSD audio data and delivers excellent sound quality. These features are ideal for multichannel audio systems including SACD players, A/V receivers, digital televisions, mixing consoles, effects processors, sound cards and automotive audio systems.
