The CS4351 is a complete stereo digital/analog converter (DAC) system that includes digital interpolation, fifth-order multibit Delta-Sigma D/A conversion, digital de-emphasis, volume control, channel mixing, analog filtering and integrated line-level driver.
The advantages of this architecture include: ideal differential linearity, no distortion mechanisms due to resistor matching errors, no linearity drift over time and temperature, high tolerance to clock jitter and premium sound quality.
The CS4351 requires a minimal set of external components and therefore minimizes board space requirements, reduces system cost and is easy to use. Accepting digital audio data at sample rates from 4 kHz to 192 kHz, the CS4351 is ideal for a wide range of audio systems including DVD players and recorders, digital set-top boxes, digital televisions, mini-component systems and audio/video receivers.
