High Efficiency Digital Power Factor Correction ICs

The CS1501/CS1601 are high-performance Variable Frequency Discontinuous Mode, active digital power factor correction (PFC) controllers. Featuring Cirrus Logic’s EXL Core™ technology, these chips offer innovative digital energy control capabilities which elevate performance and solve system design challenges in power supplies used in notebook adapters, digital TVs, PCs and LED/fluorescent ballasts.

The unique digital architecture of the CS1501/1601 enables reduced-size EMI filters and eliminates the need for numerous passive components, reducing solution size and delivering low overall PFC system cost. Additionally, the CS1501/1601 beats analog PFC products in efficiency and THD across a full range of load.
