CobraNet® technology, the leading standard for networked digital audio over Ethernet, will be prominently featured at the 2007 NSCA Systems Integration Expo, with 34 manufacturers exhibiting CobraNet technology in their booths throughout the convention hall.

In the Cirrus Logic booth #415, NSCA attendees and the news media will learn more about the growing variety of networked audio equipment that feature CobraNet technology, as well as the expanding and impressive list of installations worldwide that leverage CobraNet’s unique features for managing digital audio networks using standard Ethernet equipment. Included in this CobraNet ‘Wall of Fame’ is networked audio equipment from such well-known original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) as Biamp Systems, Crown, Meyer Sound Laboratories, Peavey MediaMatrix, QSC Audio and Symetrix SymNet, to name a few.

Cirrus Logic will also provide a demonstration of the CobraCom™ reference design for developing CobraNet-enabled digital audio network devices. The CobraCom demonstration leverages the Power-over-Ethernet standard to enable network-powered, remotely controlled, self-amplified loudspeaker and microphone nodes around a network. Typical devices that could be implemented with CobraCom technology include intercom and paging stations, network-powered loudspeakers and conferencing stations, all leveraging the limitless zone capacity of a CobraNet network.
