(Nasdaq: CRUS) is demonstrating interoperability with multiple, high-quality drive manufacturers on its complete hardware/software DVD recording reference platform. By teaming with drive manufacturers, Cirrus is able to provide OEMs with a complete DVD recording reference platform that can speed their time to market with more manufacturing options and greater supplies of high-quality DVD recorder drives.

Through strategic relationships with such drive manufacturers as BenQ, MET, DVS, Philips, NEC, Ricoh, AccessTech and BTC, Cirrus is demonstrating the stability and completeness of its DVD recording reference platform. Amid a tight global supply of DVD recording drives, these reference platforms are designed to help manufacturers quickly build affordable consumer DVD recorders while better providing the high-volume availability of high-quality drives for manufacturing.

DVD recorders are expected to become the fastest growing segment in digital entertainment during the next several years, with expected unit sales of up to 51 million by 2007 (source: IDC, September 2003).
