LAS VEGAS, Nev. – January 8, 2001 – Manufacturers introducing consumer devices for the emerging entertainment electronics age are demonstrating their newest products powered by Cirrus Logic (NASDAQ:CRUS) chips at the Consumer Electronics Show here in Las Vegas. Some solutions being shown that use Cirrus Logic’s industry leading technology include the market’s first Pro Logic II surround sound system from Kenwood, and multiple digital security-enabled Internet audio devices from market leaders Rio, Creative Labs and Intel. A recently commissioned survey by Cirrus Logic showed that 97 percent of online consumers believe a high-level of security is important for portable Internet products.
Among the products consumers can expect to see on the show floor with Cirrus Logic solutions are:

Those demonstrations include DSP software for Dolby’s Pro Logic II, the new Crystal 98K DVD processor, Pulse Width Modulation technology for high-efficiency audio amplifiers, new audio solutions for 6.1 channel home theater surround sound (DTS ES), and digital security solutions for portable Internet electronics.
