Audio. Cirrus Logic is a recognized leader in analog and mixed-signal audio converter technologies and audio processors that enable today’s new consumer, professional and automotive entertainment products. Our products include analog-to-digital converters (“ADCs”), digital-to-analog converters (“DACs”), codecs that integrate ADCs and DACs into a single IC, digital interface ICs (eg. “S/PDIF” receivers), Class D digital amplifier controllers and power stages and audio DSPs.
Our products are used in a wide array of consumer applications, including smartphones, tablet PCs, audio/video receivers, portable media players, soundbars, complete home theater systems, set-top boxes, gaming devices, sound cards and digital TVs. Applications for products within professional markets include digital mixing consoles, multitrack digital recorders and effects processors. Applications for products within automotive markets include amplifiers, satellite radio systems and multispeaker car audio systems.
Energy. Building upon its foundation in mixed-signal design expertise, Cirrus Logic recently began heavily investing in innovative new products designed to meet global demands for smarter, more efficient energy consumption. The company’s entrance into energy markets diversifies its base of audio-related products into expanding markets. In 2012, the company introduced its first line of LED driver ICs for the incandescent replacement market, which is anticipated to grow to 1 billion units by 2015.

In 2007, Cirrus Logic Fellow John Melanson joined an elite group of innovators when he passed the threshold of achieving 100 patents.
