Like our sister city of Austin, Texas, the Tucson, Arizona, location of Cirrus Logic also lives beyond the stereotyped images of cowboy boots and old west gun fights. You still can visit places like Old Tucson Studio with your out-of-town visitors to give them that taste of how the west was won, but the Tucson of today boasts a vibrant cultural mix thanks to its rich ethnic heritage.
Tucson sits on the northern boundary of the green and animal-verdant Sonoran Desert that extends out of the Mexican state of the same name. This makes Tucson and the surrounding Southern Arizona region a home to mountain ranges, lush green vegetation and abundant natural beauty, which serves as a bit of a contrast to the big-city sprawl of Phoenix, the state’s capital just 100 miles to the northwest. But like the Valley of the Sun, the “Old Pueblo” can boost plenty of excellent cultural outlets to keep urbanites, ranchfolk, hipsters, artisans, intellectuals and outdoorsy types amply occupied and entertained.
When you check out Tucson, be sure to check out these favorites of Cirrus Logic employees:
